Not only had two generations of the family been criminals, but so was Hill's father (Landrigan's grandfather). Hill had also had a criminal career starting at an early age, was addicted to drugs, had committed two murders, and had once escaped from prison.
The striking similarities stretched fay beyond their physical appearance. It was on death row that Landrigan met Darrell Hill, his biological father. Novem Landrigan escaped from jail and headed to Phoenix, Arizona. Landrigan couldn't resist the life of crime and was found guilty for the murder of Chester Dyer and sentenced to death row. In 1982, at the age of 20, Landrigan was asked by a friend to be the godfather of his child, Landrigan responded by stabbing the man to death, resulting in a 20 year prison sentence.
He was a drug addict, skipping school, stealing cars, and spending time in detention centers. At age 11 he was arrested for burglary and attempting to break into a safe. He was adopted in to an all American family, with a father, mother, and sister, where Landrigan could have had a fresh start.Īt an early age Landrigan was displaying signs of uncontrollable emotions. Landrigan never knew his biological father, and was abandoned by his mother when he was 8 months old.
